In Saudi culture, the bedroom is considered a highly private sanctuary. When visiting friends or family, guests usually stay in the "Majlis" (guest room), and it’s polite not to enter personal bedrooms without an explicit invitation! Also, did you know that the Hijazi dialect is rich with loanwords from other languages? Historically, due to trade routes and the import of furniture from abroad, many household items adopted international names—such as "Kumūdīnah" (from Italian/French) and "Abājūrah" (from French)!

Finally, before going to sleep, you'll often hear locals say "Tiṣbaḥ 'ala khēr!" (تِصْبَح عَلَى خِير - Good night / May you wake up to goodness). The standard response is "Wa inta min ahlo!" (وَإنْتَ مِنْ أَهْلُه - And may you be among its people!).
